A Word From Our ISSA President

Dear ISS fraternity  ,
As we are aware , the Indian Statistical Service (ISS) , Group A Central Service , was constituted on 1st November 1961 with the objective of providing professional capacity within the Government to undertake statistical administration , conduct of nation-wide large scale sample surveys on issues of national importance, development of core statistics and render inputs for designing and formulating development policies , strengthen delivery systems and monitoring & evaluating development programmes.

2. Since inception of the service, we as fraternity are involved for nation building.Change is the only constant and as a civil service& data manager, we are witnessing major changes in modern times. Keeping up with the paradigm shifts, our way of service keeps evolving. In current surge of metamorphosis in the national as well as global scenario, ISS officers have to keep pace and make headway to serve in a meaningful way. We would be taking care of such developmental factors in future course of action as well.
